The old MnCORS software will be decommissioned in about 2 weeks on December 27th, 2016. Please determine which option applies to your circumstances. If you must enter IP address 220.127.116.11 , the address will no longer be accessible on December 27th and only Option 2 will apply. In most cases the account information you have been using will continue to work and no configuration changes will be required.
Option 1*: If you are still accessing the old software on the 27th using the DNS http://mncors.dot.state.mn.us you will automatically be re-directed to the new software environment.
Option 2*: If you have already started or would like to begin using the new environment prior to the 27th. You can use either the DNS (recommended) http://mncors2.dot.state.mn.us or the new IP address 18.104.22.168 if your equipment is not capable of using an alias.
*There will be coordinate shifts between the old and new software environments. Make sure to recalibrate your project control when either Option 1 or 2 applies to your circumstances. The old software is based on the 2007 realization and transformed to 2011 and to 1996, this is the basis for calculating the mountpoint corrections. The new software is based on 2011 and transformed to 2007 and to 1996. Refer to #11 on our FAQ for calibration recommendations: http://www.dot.state.mn.us/surveying/cors/mncors_faq.html#Q11
