This Technology Session was held on May 20th, 2014, and provided an update/overview of the current status of commercial UAS uses in the United States. The National Airspace System (NAS) was described in detail, and it was explained how complicated our airspace system currently is, and why there are so many safety concerns in regards to UAS. This session is a “must see” for anyone that is interested in UAS, and has hopes of utilizing the technology in the future. Tips were also offered on what to do to prepare yourselves for when UAS gets the okay from the FAA for commercial use.
